Cookies & browser storage
Effective and updated
What this site uses
The catalog does not set application cookies, use sessionStorage, or include analytics, advertising pixels or remote fonts. It uses one optional acknowledgement record in your browser’s localStorage when you dismiss the storage notice. That record makes the notice less repetitive; the catalog works without it.
The acknowledgement record
Key: softgalaxy-notice-v1. Value: the timestamp when you acknowledged the notice, expressed as milliseconds since the Unix epoch. Location: localStorage in your browser for this site. Duration recognized by the application: 180 days.
After 180 days the next visit removes the expired record and shows the notice again. Browser localStorage itself has no automatic expiry, so an unvisited browser may retain the value until the next visit or until you clear it. The record contains no advertising identifier and is not sent to our server.
Acknowledgement is not consent to tracking
The “Dismiss notice” button acknowledges information; it does not activate any tracking. There is no “Reject all” button because there are no optional trackers to reject. If your browser blocks storage, dismissing the notice only hides it for the current page.
Use “Storage notice” in the footer to reopen the notice. You can remove the record in your browser’s site-data settings. Without JavaScript, the notice and this policy remain readable, and the core catalog continues to work.
Other websites
Download and source links lead to external websites. Those sites may use cookies or other storage under their own policies. SoftGalaxy’s notice does not control their practices. See the Privacy policy for request data and server logs, which are separate from browser storage.
