Privacy policy

Scope

This policy describes this English-language SoftGalaxy catalog. It does not describe the practices of external sources, developers or download hosts. Contact [email protected] about privacy questions or requests.

Data involved in visiting

Serving a page involves technical request information such as the requested URL, IP address, browser headers and request time. The application uses limited in-memory request counters to limit excessive traffic. The application server, hosting platform or reverse proxy may record technical logs for operation and security.

Search terms and filters are sent in the URL to our server so it can query the catalog. They can appear in browser history and infrastructure logs. Do not enter private or sensitive information into search. We do not use search queries to build advertising profiles.

This application does not create user accounts or use analytics, advertising pixels, remote fonts or marketing trackers. Infrastructure log configuration and retention must be established for the actual deployment; this policy does not promise that no logs exist or invent a retention period.

Browser storage

If you acknowledge the storage notice, the site writes an acknowledgement timestamp to localStorage under softgalaxy-notice-v1. It recognizes that timestamp for 180 days, then shows the notice again and removes the expired value when the site is next visited. This value is stored in your browser and is not sent to our server.

The site does not set application cookies or use sessionStorage. You can clear localStorage through your browser settings. The footer lets you reopen the storage notice without changing a consent setting: there are no optional trackers to enable or reject.

Messages you send

If you email the contact address, your message, email address and any information you choose to include are handled through email infrastructure to address the enquiry. Only include information necessary for your request. Do not send passwords or executable files.

Mailbox availability, provider details and retention settings are not verified in this local implementation. This policy does not claim a particular email processor, fixed deletion schedule or guaranteed response time.

External destinations and your choices

Following a source or download link connects you to another website, which can receive technical request information and apply its own privacy policy. These destinations are not loaded as trackers when you browse a listing. Our pages set a no-referrer policy for outgoing requests.

You can ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information associated with your enquiry, subject to applicable requirements and our ability to identify the relevant information. Send only what is necessary to locate it. You may also have rights to contact a relevant supervisory authority. We make no claim of universal legal certification.

Changes

We update this page when the described practices change. The date at the top records the current policy revision. Adding analytics or other optional tracking would require a new implementation and corresponding disclosures; none is included here.
