Before you download
Effective and updated
Know where the button leads
Each published listing has one primary download link, labeled for the application and platform. It points to a documented direct-file destination on an external host, not an installer stored by SoftGalaxy. The host and last link-check date appear beside it.
A direct link can still be redirected by its host. A successful destination check is not a malware scan, a guarantee of future availability or permission to redistribute the file. If the destination no longer matches the description, stop and report the listing.
Check fit before installation
Read the platform, release information, license and limitations on the listing. Requirements may differ between versions, architectures and devices. Follow the developer’s documented installation instructions rather than assuming a download works on every device.
Use your device’s security protections. Check the publisher and available signatures or checksums through a trusted publisher source where provided. Back up important data before changes that can affect your system. Do not disable protections merely to make a download run.
What our review does not prove
We review descriptions against recorded sources and check the download destination. We do not execute downloaded software, perform a hands-on compatibility test, independently audit source code or certify that a file is free from malware.
A limitation or warning on this page is not a substitute for careful sourcing. Listings that lack the required download evidence are not eligible for publication.
Licenses and external services
Downloading an installer is not necessarily the same as receiving a free license. The license displayed on a listing describes the recorded evidence; the rights holder’s terms control your use.
External download hosts apply their own privacy and service terms. SoftGalaxy cannot recover third-party accounts, reverse charges or guarantee support from a developer. Send a broken or misleading link report to [email protected] with the listing URL.
