What is Ashampoo Audio Recorder Free?
Ashampoo Audio Recorder Free captures voice recordings and sound playing on a Windows PC. Choose a microphone, sound-card loopback or an individual application as the source, then select an output format and recording quality. It is useful for spoken notes, narration and capturing audio for later listening. The publisher lists MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, FLAC, OPUS and APE output, with sampling rates up to 48 kHz.
A built-in media library and player help organize and preview recordings. You can trim clips, edit metadata and rename files, including while recording. The level meter shows active audio devices and apps.
Free does not mean activation-free: an Internet connection is required to activate the program, and the publisher says its license is checked again at regular intervals. The EULA grants personal, non-commercial use unless commercial use is separately agreed in writing. The screenshot shows the publisher-supplied trimming interface in Softonic's gallery, not a locally installed or tested copy.
