What is Audacious?
Audacious is an audio player for listening to a music collection and organizing it into playlists. Drag in song files or folders, search your library by artist or album, and create or edit playlists. It also supports audio CDs and Internet music streams.
A graphical equalizer and audio effects let you adjust playback. The player offers a modern Qt/GTK-style interface or Winamp Classic skins, with included plugins for functions such as lyrics retrieval and a VU meter.
This entry links to the publisher's Audacious 4.6.1 Windows EXE installer, which includes plugins. The publisher lists 4.6.2 for the source release but says the Windows 4.6.2 binary is coming soon. Current Windows builds require a 64-bit installation of Windows 10 or later, despite the download filename containing win32. The publisher's illustrative screenshot is labeled Audacious 4.0.2; it is not a capture of the linked 4.6.1 package.
