What is AudioCentral?
AudioCentral puts per-app sound controls in the Mac menu bar. It lets you balance the volume of different applications and choose where their audio goes, including apps without their own output-device selector. This suits a setup where a browser, music player and other audio sources need separate levels or destinations.
The controls go beyond volume: applications have mute, balance, boost, equalization and speech-isolation options, while device controls include equalization and spatial profiles. Graphic and parametric equalizers provide ten bands and preset recall. The publisher also lists headphone calibration profiles and a binaural converter with virtual rooms.
AudioCentral is a commercial app with a 15-day trial, not an unrestricted free download. The publisher requires macOS 14.5 or later, an Intel or Apple Silicon 64-bit processor, at least 4GB of memory and 200MB of available disk space. The linked download is the publisher's Mac disk image; the installer was not downloaded or run for this listing.
