What is Axialis IconWorkshop?
Axialis IconWorkshop turns artwork into icon files for software and websites. Import an SVG, PSD or PNG source, assemble multiple sizes in one Windows ICO or macOS ICNS file, and inspect the smaller images in the editor. It is a Windows application even when the assets it produces are intended for another operating system.
The integrated Librarian and File Explorer keep reusable artwork near the editor. Image Objects can be combined into compositions, while batch tools create icon families from folders of images or convert existing ICO and ICNS collections. Version 6.97 also imports and exports WebP images.
This entry links to the publisher's 64-bit EXE installer. A separate 32-bit build is available from the publisher. The download starts a fully functional 30-day evaluation rather than providing a free perpetual license. Purchased licenses permit continued use, but include only one year of updates under the publisher's current standard terms.
What it offers
- Create multi-resolution Windows ICO and macOS ICNS files from SVG, PSD or PNG artwork.
- Batch-create icon families from image folders and convert collections between ICO and ICNS.
- Import and export WebP images in version 6.97.
- Compose icons from reusable Image Objects and organize assets in the Librarian and File Explorer.
- Export alpha-enabled PNG assets for Linux and mobile workflows.
Good to know
- The fully functional trial lasts 30 days; continued use requires a purchased license. Standard purchases include one year of updates, not perpetual updates.
- IconWorkshop runs on Windows. Creating macOS or mobile icon assets does not make it a native application for those platforms.
