What is Coollector?
Coollector Movie Database brings a movie reference database and your own collection into one Windows application. Mark titles as watched, rate what you have seen and keep a wishlist. Movie pages include cast and crew, while person pages show filmographies, so you can explore related work without starting a separate catalog entry for each title.
For physical collections, record DVDs and Blu-rays, their storage locations and loans. Barcode identification and manual entries help organize discs. For video files, scan your disks to identify titles, then launch an added file using your media player. Adjustable layouts, skins and filters let you change how the collection is displayed.
The included movie and series database supports offline browsing, but pictures need an initial internet connection before they are cached. The publisher offers all features free with a 30-second startup delay; a contributor code removes that delay. This entry links to the standard Windows EXE installer, not the separate portable package.
What it offers
- Track watched movies, series, seasons and episodes with ratings, notes, tags and a wishlist.
- Catalog DVDs and Blu-rays, including storage locations and who has borrowed them.
- Identify discs by barcode or add missing videos manually.
- Scan local video files and launch them with your media player.
- Browse cast and filmographies, use personalized rating predictions and customize layouts and skins.
Good to know
- A 30-second startup delay remains unless you obtain a contributor code.
- Pictures require an internet connection on first access; only cached pictures remain available offline.
- Local video playback uses your media player rather than an embedded player.
