What is Creative Docs .NET?

Creative Docs .NET combines vector drawing with rich-text layout for short documents, manuals, posters, plans and flow charts. It is useful when a page needs both editable shapes and styled text: draw paths, arrange objects and keep repeated formatting consistent through shared styles. The publisher offers the full-featured 3.x series free of charge, without warranty.

Drawing tools include polygons and Bezier curves, text along a curved path, gradients and Boolean shape operations. Alignment commands distribute selected objects, while nested groups keep related artwork together. Styles can inherit attributes from parent styles. PDF export is documented in the publisher’s release notes. Converting text to curves lets you change individual letter shapes, but the resulting objects are no longer editable as text.

This entry links to the publisher’s 3.3.6 EXE, associated with its October 12, 2011 bug-fix announcement. Softonic still lists 3.2.3; its listing date is not used as the release date for this package. The supplied screenshot is historical and illustrates the Windows interface, not a verified capture of version 3.3.6.

Treat compatibility as legacy rather than current Windows support. The requirements page lists Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003 and Vista, plus Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. Older homepage notes discuss Windows 7 compatibility, but the inspected sources do not establish Windows 10 or 11 support, package architecture or present-day maintenance. The installer was checked with a HEAD request only; installation and application behavior were not tested.

What it offers

  • Combine vector graphics and rich text for posters, manuals, plans and flow charts.
  • Edit polygons and Bezier paths; place text along a curved path.
  • Apply gradients, inherited styles and attributes copied with the pipette tool.
  • Align and distribute objects, use nested groups and combine shapes with Boolean operations.
  • Export documents to PDF, as documented in the publisher’s release notes.

Good to know

  • Published system requirements cover legacy Windows versions and require .NET Framework 2.0; Windows 10/11 compatibility is not established by the inspected sources.
  • Converting characters to curves makes the result no longer editable as text.
  • The linked 3.3.6 release is dated 2011; current maintenance and installer architecture are not established.
