What is FamiStudio?
FamiStudio is a music editor for creating NES and Famicom tracks, aimed at chiptune musicians and homebrew game developers. Build a song from patterns, edit its notes in the piano roll, and organize instruments, arpeggios and DPCM samples within a project. The mobile interface uses taps, swipes and long presses, with a context-sensitive quick access bar and a pop-up piano for previewing instrument sounds.
You can export a song as WAV or MP3 audio, or use NES-oriented output such as NSF. The Android edition does not include every desktop export option: OGG Vorbis, MIDI and FamiTracker text export are documented as desktop-only.
This entry links to the Android APK for version 4.5.3 on the publisher’s GitHub releases. The official website also offers Google Play and recommends that route. The publisher repository documents Android 8.0 or newer as the minimum; compatibility with a particular device has not been independently tested.
