What is FILEminimizer Pictures?
FILEminimizer Pictures reduces the file size of photos and other images for email or online sharing. It handles JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIFF and EMF files, with batch processing for a group of pictures rather than one file at a time. Optimized images keep their image format, so recipients do not need to unpack an archive.
Add pictures to the file list, choose a compression level and select where to save the optimized files. Four compression options include a custom setting; the publisher also describes advanced controls for lossless compression and EXIF information. These are image-optimization tools, not the Office and PDF features advertised for the separate FILEminimizer Suite.
The publisher's edition comparison excludes commercial use from the free Pictures edition. It explicitly lists Windows 7 and Windows 10 compatibility; Windows 11 support and the installer's CPU architecture are not established by the sources checked here. Version 3.0 is identified on the source listing and in the supplied application screenshot. No installation or compression benchmark was performed.
