What is fre:ac?

fre:ac converts audio files between formats including MP3, M4A/AAC, FLAC, Opus, Ogg Vorbis and WAV. Use it to prepare music for a different player or convert a library while retaining its folder and filename structure. The integrated CD ripper can look up artist and track information through CDDB/GNUdb and write it to file tags.

The application includes a tag editor and multi-threaded conversion engine. Its output-splitting tool can divide audio by duration, number of files or metadata. This entry links to the publisher-listed fre:ac 1.1.7 Windows x64 EXE installer; separate 32-bit, ARM64 and ZIP packages are available from the publisher.

Winamp plug-in support is documented for the 32-bit Windows build, not the x64 installer linked here. The screenshot shows the older Windows 1.0.21a settings interface, not the linked 1.1.7 release.
