What is Giada?
Giada is a loop machine and sample player for building electronic music performances from audio and MIDI. Load sounds into channels, trigger them from a computer keyboard or MIDI controller, and layer parts under the main sequencer. The Action Editor lets you refine recorded actions or write a song rather than relying entirely on live triggering.
It also records external audio and incoming MIDI, processes signals through plug-ins, and can act as a MIDI master sequencer for other equipment. Version 1.6.0 adds an elastic playback mode that adjusts sample tempo and pitch independently, alongside revised Sample Editor pitch and time controls.
The linked publisher package is giada-1.6.0-arm64-macos.zip, intended for Apple silicon Macs. It is not an identified Intel build, and the sources inspected here do not establish a minimum macOS version.
