What is Imagelys Picture Styles?
Imagelys Picture Styles is a Windows texture generator and image-effects editor for making repeating backgrounds and turning photographs into stylized artwork. It combines bitmap layers, alpha blending and masks with texture rendering and retouching tools. Studio adds an editable node-based workflow, a larger preset library and plug-ins for working with images from supported host applications.
The publisher’s texture tutorial follows a concrete sequence: choose a category and texture in the ToolPalette, open Parameters, adjust the effect and click Generate to draw it into the image. Settings can be added to a personal ToolPalette gallery for reuse. The screenshots below are annotated publisher tutorial illustrations of these controls, not independently captured images of version 12.12.0.
Check the edition before planning a high-resolution project. The publisher calls Lite an evaluation edition and limits its rendering to 600 × 600 pixels; Studio is commercial and is listed for output up to 15000 × 15000 on 64-bit Windows. Node-based texture and artistic-effect editing and host plug-ins are Studio features, not promises about the trial. The linked ZIP is the publisher’s free-trial package for Picture Styles, which is distinct from Picture Lab.
