What is Jubler?
Jubler is a free, open-source subtitle editor for creating captions or correcting existing subtitle files. Its subtitle table brings start times, end times and text together, with tools for shifting timing, splitting or joining entries, and converting formats such as SubRip (SRT), ASS/SSA and WebVTT. Two-point synchronization helps align subtitles with the media.
For closer timing work, Jubler supports a video preview, audio waveform and draggable subtitle timeline. These preview features require VLC to be installed separately; spell checking uses the optional ASpell application. Formatting options depend on the subtitle format, so choose an output format that supports the styling you need.
This entry links to the publisher’s version 10.0.0 DMG for Apple Silicon Macs (arm64). The publisher also offers a separate Intel Mac package on its download page. The current minimum macOS version for this Apple Silicon package was not confirmed in the publisher material inspected. The screenshot is the publisher’s cross-platform editor example captured on Linux, not a Mac installation test.
