What is Kodi?
Kodi brings a personal media collection into a full-screen interface designed for televisions and remote controls. On a Mac, it can browse and play video, music and other media from local files, network storage and configured online sources. Movie and TV libraries organize collections into browsable views, while skins let you change the interface.
Kodi does not include movies, TV channels or other media sources. You supply your own content or configure third-party services; live TV and recording depend on a compatible backend. It is a media center, not a bundled streaming subscription.
The linked package is Kodi 21.3 Omega for Apple Silicon Macs, supplied as an ARM64 DMG. The publisher also lists a separate Intel x86_64 build. The gallery image illustrates an older Kodi live-TV interface from Softonic's Mac page; it does not establish the appearance of version 21.3 or the availability of the channels shown.
