What is LMMS?
LMMS is a music-production workstation for building songs from melodies, beats, instruments and samples. Arrange patterns in the Song Editor, write notes and chords in the Piano Roll, and build rhythmic parts in the Beat+Bassline Editor. Instrument and effect plugins, track automation and an FX mixer provide tools for developing an arrangement within one application. You can play notes using a typing keyboard or MIDI keyboard.
The linked download is the publisher-listed stable 1.2.2 DMG for Intel Macs, labelled macOS 10.14. The publisher also offers a separate 10.13 build and warns that it is buggy on macOS 10.14 or newer. Choose the matching package rather than treating the Mac downloads as interchangeable. This entry does not link to the separately listed alpha builds or claim native Apple Silicon support.
The screenshots illustrate LMMS editing and mixing tools. Their exact release and host operating system are not confirmed; they are not proof of how this download looks on a current Mac.
