What is MIDI Transform?

MIDI Transform changes existing MIDI files rather than serving as a composition workspace. Use it to transpose a backing track into a more suitable key, slow a piece for practice or try a different instrument sound. Alongside tempo and overall volume, it provides volume-contrast adjustments and conversion to modes such as major, minor, blues and medieval. Version 1.20 adds pitch adjustment for individual instruments.

The linked Windows EXE is the publisher's demo installer, not the paid full version. The publisher describes the demo as allowing two MIDI uploads for experimentation and lists the full version at $15. Its stated requirements are Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista or XP with .NET 3.5 or higher; Windows 11 support is not established by that list. The screenshot shows the publisher's full-version interface, not a demo session tested by SoftGalaxy.

  • Change overall volume and volume contrast.

Good to know
