What is MixPad?
MixPad for Mac is a multitrack audio recorder and mixer for combining recordings, music and voice in one project. It suits layering instruments, assembling a podcast with separate speakers or placing narration over background audio. Track controls let you adjust volume and pan while arranging clips on a shared timeline.
The publisher lists simultaneous recording on multiple tracks, effects such as EQ, compression and reverb, a beat maker and a built-in MIDI editor. Finished mixes can be saved in formats including WAV and MP3.
NCH offers a free edition for non-commercial use only, alongside paid licensing. Do not treat the free edition as permission for commercial work. The linked ZIP is the publisher-listed Mac download; its contained version and processor architecture were not inspected. The gallery image shows an older Mac interface and is not evidence of the current release appearance.

- Record single tracks or multiple tracks simultaneously.
- Arrange audio clips with individual track volume and pan controls.

Good to know
