What is Mixxx?
Mixxx brings decks, waveforms, a mixer and a searchable music library into one DJ workspace. Use BPM and musical key detection to choose tracks, match their timing with Sync Lock, or control transitions manually with pitch, EQ and the crossfader. Hotcues, beat loops and effects let you shape a set beyond simply playing one song after another.
Organize local music in crates and playlists, use supported MIDI or HID controllers, and record a mix for later listening. Internet broadcasting connects to a Shoutcast or Icecast server; Mixxx is not itself a hosted radio service. MP3 recording requires the separate LAME library, while WAV, FLAC and Ogg Vorbis are listed recording formats.
