What is ocenaudio?
ocenaudio is an audio editor for working on individual recordings and sound files. Use its waveform view to select material, preview effects while adjusting their controls, or inspect frequency content in the spectrogram. Multi-selection lets you listen to, edit or apply an effect to several separate portions of the same file at once.
The publisher lists native applications for macOS, Windows and Linux with a shared feature set. This entry links to the universal macOS DMG for Intel and ARM 64-bit Macs running macOS 14.4 or newer. A separate legacy package is listed for macOS 10.14 or newer; it is not the download linked here.
Choose ocenaudio for editing an audio file rather than arranging a multitrack production: Softonic's Mac listing identifies the lack of true multitrack editing and mixing as a limitation. The screenshot is a publisher-provided Mac interface illustration, not a capture of version 3.22.1 or evidence of an installation test.
What it offers
- View audio as a waveform or inspect its frequency content in a spectrogram.
- Listen to real-time previews while adjusting effects such as EQ, gain and filtering.
- Use VST plugins, with real-time preview available for their effects.
- Select several separate portions of a file to listen, edit or apply an effect to them together.
Good to know
- No true multitrack editing or mixing, according to Softonic's Mac listing.
- The linked universal DMG requires macOS 14.4 or newer; the publisher's macOS 10.14+ legacy build is a separate download.
