What is PDFtoMusic?
PDFtoMusic turns PDF sheet music exported by a notation program into playable music. It is useful for hearing a score before rehearsal or converting a notation-generated PDF into MIDI for another music application. The standard edition also exports Myr files for Myriad software and audio in WAV or AIFF format. Playback controls let you adjust volume and tempo while following the displayed score.
This is not optical recognition for scanned paper scores: a PDF containing only a scanned image cannot be processed. The freely downloadable trial has no time limit, but playback is restricted to the first page and export to one page at a time. A paid personal license removes those trial page restrictions. MusicXML export belongs to PDFtoMusic Pro, not this standard edition; full use of Virtual Singer and Myriad HQ requires separate module licenses.
The linked Mac disk image is the older 1.7.1d package identified by MacUpdate and still served by Myriad. It is not presented as the current release. Myriad's product page lists Mac OS X 10.7 and later, but compatibility of this older package with current macOS or Apple silicon has not been established here. The screenshot is a historical Mac interface image, not a capture of software installed or tested for this entry.
