What is PotPlayer?
PotPlayer plays video and audio on Windows, with controls for subtitles, playback and output devices. It suits viewers who want more control over how their files look and sound: the publisher lists hardware acceleration through DXVA, CUDA and QuickSync, plus support for SRT, SMI, ASS/SSA, DVD and Blu-ray subtitle formats. Scene bookmarks and snapshot previews help you return to a particular part of a video.
For compatible 3D content and equipment, PotPlayer offers Side by Side, Top and Bottom, and Page Flipping output. OpenCodec support lets users add codecs when needed. Its many options are a trade-off: Softonic notes that parts of the interface can feel cluttered, so it is not necessarily the simplest choice for someone who only needs basic playback.
The linked publisher EXE is the x64 Windows installer. The publisher also provides separate x86 and ARM64 packages; those belong to the same Windows product rather than separate editions here. Version 26.10.21.0 is the version listed by Softonic at the source check, corroborated by the publisher's 261021 change-history entry. The download address is a rolling publisher link, not an immutable versioned file. The screenshot shows an older Daum-branded interface from the source gallery, not a capture of that listed release.

Good to know
