What is Spicetify?
Spicetify changes the appearance and functionality of the official Spotify desktop client. It is a command-line customization tool rather than a separate music player. Themes change colors and layouts, while extensions can add controls or alter the interface. Custom apps add pages inside Spotify, and advanced users can inject their own CSS.
The optional Spicetify Marketplace adds a sidebar tab for browsing and installing community themes, extensions and snippets. The publisher screenshot illustrates that Marketplace interface; it is not a capture of this release running on our system.
This download is the macOS ARM64 tar.gz archive for Apple silicon. The release also provides a separate amd64 archive for Intel Macs. Version 2.46.4 lists compatibility with Spotify for macOS 1.2.14 through 1.3.7. Spotify updates can require reapplying Spicetify, and a new Spotify version may need a Spicetify compatibility update before customization works again. Follow the publisher's setup documentation for configuration and first use.
