What is Synapse DUNE VST?
Synapse DUNE VST is listed by its publisher as DUNE 3, a software synthesizer for a compatible music-production host. It combines virtual-analogue, wavetable and FM synthesis with layered unison voices, modulation and effects. Start with a factory patch or shape an oscillator, route it through the dual filters and use the two independently programmable arpeggiators for rhythmic parts. The full version includes more than 1,000 patches and is patch-compatible with DUNE 2.
For deeper sound design, the wavetable editor supports drawing, partial editing and formulas, with WAV import and export. Two master effects buses provide processing such as distortion, chorus, delay and reverb. A scalable interface lets you adjust the workspace rather than relying on one fixed display size.
The linked Windows ZIP is the publisher's demo, not the purchased full version or an update for existing owners. The publisher limits the demo to 20 minutes, 100 patches and the default skin; total recall, automation and patch saving are disabled. Use it to evaluate the instrument before purchase, not as a save-enabled production edition. Windows use requires a 64-bit VST2, VST3 or AAX host; the AAX version requires Pro Tools 11 or later.
