What is TrackWizard Starter Edition?
TrackWizard brings lighting cues, sound and video into a shared timeline for preparing theatre productions, concerts, school performances and other synchronized shows. Its free edition combines DMX control with audio/video tracks and a real-time 3D scene preview, so a show can be arranged visually rather than managed as unrelated playback jobs.
The free download supports up to 512 DMX channels and one Art-Net universe. The publisher also lists OpenDMX USB compatibility, but the interface hardware is not included. Two audio tracks per timeline, dimmer and movement effects with BPM support, and an integrated audio/video converter are listed for the free edition.
Edition details need care: the publisher’s download page contains conflicting blocks specifying 10 and 16 DMX layers, while Softonic’s Starter Edition description specifies 10. Do not plan a show around the higher figure without checking the installed edition. The linked publisher installer is named DmxTrackWizard64FreeSetup_v2608.exe; Softonic separately lists version 26.10.1. Their version equivalence is not established, and this entry does not label the installer as the latest release.
