What is TwistedWave?
TwistedWave is a Mac audio editor for recording, trimming and processing sound files. It suits spoken-word work such as voice-over and audiobook editing, as well as converting existing recordings. You can apply Audio Unit or VST effects, change pitch and speed independently, and use silence detection to divide a recording into separate files. Batch processing applies effects or format conversions across files and folders.
The editor handles mono, stereo and multichannel audio, but it does not provide separate tracks arranged on a multitrack timeline. The publisher describes Paste Over as a way to mix copied audio into an existing recording. Choose a multitrack workstation instead if your project depends on independently arranging multiple tracks.
The publisher offers a fully functional 30-day demo; saving is disabled when the trial expires unless you purchase a license. This entry links to the publisher’s Mac DMG, not the separate online or iOS application. The gallery image shows an older Mac interface and is not a screenshot of version 34.2.
