What is Waverio?
Waverio brings the YouTube Music catalog into a separate desktop window on your Mac. Search for songs, artists, albums or playlists, choose what plays next, or start radio from a track. Shuffle, repeat and Autoplay help manage longer listening sessions without keeping a browser tab open.
The player keeps liked songs, saved albums, playlists and listening history on your computer. It remembers the queue and playback position after a restart, waiting for you to press Play. A compact Mini Player and keyboard media controls let you manage playback while working in another app. On Mac, the current track is also accessible through the menu bar and Dock.
An account is not needed to search and listen. Signing in with a YouTube account adds personal mixes and recommendations, with an option to send likes to YouTube. Listening requires an internet connection; a local library does not remove that requirement. The download linked here is the publisher's Apple silicon DMG, not the separate Intel package.
