What is Wire Pilot?
Wire Pilot is a focused photo-retouching application for removing distracting objects from outdoor photographs. Its Wire Eraser targets linear objects against a plain background, such as wires crossing the sky. Smart Patch copies an area of the picture over an unwanted object when the background is more complex. You choose the area to correct rather than relying on an unattended whole-photo cleanup.
The publisher offers Wire Pilot as a standalone Windows program and as a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop or another compatible host. Version 3.12.0 adds automatic plug-in setup for Photoshop 2025 and Photoshop Elements 2025.
The downloadable demo is not unrestricted freeware: it saves edited pictures in the special TPI format. The registered version can open those TPI files and export JPG, TIFF, PNG or BMP images. The publisher still offers the program but explicitly states that no upgrades are planned and no technical support is provided. Treat it as an unsupported product, not an actively maintained photo editor.
