What is Bombermaaan?

Bombermaaan brings classic Bomberman-style battles to a shared computer. Move through a tiled arena, place bombs and collect items while trying to outlast the other players. Matches support up to five participants, with a choice of human or computer-controlled opponents. It suits local competitive play rather than a story-led adventure.

The linked download is the project's stable Windows setup package, version 1.4.0.627, dated October 18, 2008 in its SourceForge file listing. Newer experimental builds are listed separately. This is an old release: the publisher describes Win32 support, but this entry does not establish that the installer works on current Windows versions.

What it offers

  • Arena battles for up to five players on the same computer.
  • Human and computer-controlled opponents can participate in matches.
  • Collect items to change your abilities during play.
  • Classic tiled playfields with bombs, walls and timed survival battles.

Good to know

  • The selected stable Windows installer dates to 2008; compatibility with current Windows versions has not been independently verified.
  • The described multiplayer setup puts players on the same computer; do not assume online matchmaking from the multiplayer label.
