What is Cataclysm: Bright Nights?
Cataclysm: Bright Nights puts survival in a persistent, procedurally generated world at the center of its sci-fi roguelike. Search the remains of civilization for food and equipment, find a usable vehicle, and decide whether to fight or escape zombies, giant insects, robots and other threats. The project is a fork of Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead.
This entry links to the publisher's v0.13.0 graphical tiles DMG for Apple Silicon Macs. The release also provides separate Intel x64 and text-interface packages; the linked ARM package is not the Intel build. A minimum macOS version for this specific release has not been established from the cited publisher material.
The project provides in-game documentation through the ? key and configurable key bindings. Its README cautions that the tutorial in the Special menu may not function after code changes, so do not rely on that tutorial as a complete introduction. The development team also states that third-party launchers are unsupported.
