What is Lix?

Lix is an action-puzzle game inspired by Lemmings. Assign skills to guide the lix through each level, working around the terrain to get them to an exit. The included collection has over 700 single-player puzzles, and the level editor lets you design your own challenges.

Competitive multiplayer supports 2 to 8 players. The goal is to route as many lix as possible into your exit, including your opponents' characters. You can use the community's central server or host a private game. Hosting a private game requires forwarding a UDP port to the host machine; the documented default is 22934.

This entry links to the Windows 64-bit ZIP archive for version 0.10.36, not a source-code archive. The publisher also offers a separate 32-bit Windows package. Most game code and assets are dedicated to the public domain through CC0; the bundled font and some music have separate licenses.

What it offers

  • Solve over 700 single-player puzzles by assigning skills to the lix.
  • Play competitive real-time multiplayer for 2 to 8 players.
  • Create your own levels with the included editor.
  • Join multiplayer through the central server or host a private game.

Good to know

  • Hosting a private multiplayer game requires UDP port forwarding to the host machine; the default port is 22934. The central-server option is available instead.
