What is Mr. Rescue?
Mr. Rescue is a 2D arcade action game about getting people out of burning buildings. Pick up civilians and throw them through windows to safety while clearing a path with your water gun. Pseudo-randomly generated buildings, fire sprites and boss battles make rescuing people more involved than simply putting out every flame.
Heat and water management shape each rescue: standing near fire heats your suit, so you need coolant pickups, while draining the water tank can overheat your gun. The publisher lists Xbox 360 controller support and fullscreen modes from version 1.02.
The linked Windows download is the publisher's 1.02c win32 ZIP archive. Newer LÖVE-format releases are listed separately; this Windows package should not be mistaken for those releases. A minimum Windows version is not confirmed by the publisher sources used here, and compatibility with current Windows systems has not been tested.
What it offers
- Carry civilians and throw them out of windows to evacuate burning buildings.
- Fight flames and fire sprites with a water gun while managing suit heat and water capacity.
- Play through pseudo-randomly generated buildings and boss battles.
- Use Xbox 360 controller support and fullscreen modes introduced in version 1.02.
Good to know
- Water capacity is limited, and emptying the tank can overheat the water gun; nearby fire also heats the suit.
- The linked Windows archive is version 1.02c; the publisher lists newer LÖVE-format releases separately.
- Publisher sources consulted do not confirm a minimum Windows version; current-Windows compatibility is untested.
