What is Note Attack?
Note Attack turns reading musical notes into a game. Use a computer keyboard or a MIDI-compatible piano or keyboard to respond to notes. The publisher lists adjustable speed and note range, so practice can focus on a smaller set of notes instead of using the full range at once. Optional note playback adds an audible reference.
The game includes a high-score list and a choice of violent or peaceful presentation. Its publisher screenshot shows treble and bass staves inside a simple Windows interface, with playback controls and an Options button. These are publisher-documented features and supplied imagery, not results from an installation or hands-on test.
The linked publisher package is labelled version 2.1. Softonic describes an older 1.36 release and lists Windows 95; those legacy requirements do not establish compatibility for the 2.1 package on current Windows. Modern Windows support and processor architecture are not specified on the publisher page. Selecting a MIDI file to determine the notes is listed as coming soon, not as an available feature.
What it offers
- Practise note reading with a computer keyboard or MIDI-compatible piano or keyboard.
- Adjust the game speed and note range.
- Optionally hear each note as it is presented.
- Track scores in a high-score list.
- Choose the publisher-described violent or peaceful presentation.
Good to know
- Windows 10 and 11 compatibility and the package architecture are not confirmed by the publisher page; the legacy Softonic Windows 95 listing refers to version 1.36, not the linked 2.1 package.
- MIDI-file-based note selection is listed as coming soon, not as a supported feature.
