What is OpenArena?
OpenArena is a standalone arena FPS built around multiplayer matches. Choose Free for All or Team Deathmatch for direct combat, or play objective-based modes such as Capture the Flag, Domination and Harvester. Bots provide opponents when you want to play without other people, and Instant Gib and All Rockets change the weapon rules.
The linked download is the full 0.8.8 ZIP shared by Windows, Linux and Mac, not the separate update patch or a Windows installer. Extract the archive before using the Windows game files. This is a February 2012 release; the publisher's package entry does not establish compatibility with Windows 10 or 11. For online play on pure servers, keep the original release data files: modified PK3 files can cause a server to disconnect you.
