What is Rocks'n'Diamonds?

Rocks'n'Diamonds brings several traditions of tile-based arcade and puzzle games into one application. Its classic level sets draw on Boulder Dash, Emerald Mine, Supaplex and Sokoban, making it an option for players who want different styles of retro puzzle play rather than a single fixed campaign. The publisher offers additional level sets as well as the main game.

A built-in editor lets you create levels, while configurable game elements and replaceable graphics, sound and music support more extensive custom designs. Keyboard controls are customizable, and joystick input is supported. Local and network multiplayer can accommodate up to four players, but only when the chosen level set supports it.

This entry links to the publisher's Mac Universal Binary DMG for version 4.4.2.4. The publisher says PowerPC Macs require an older release; the current package is not a PowerPC download. The gallery image is the publisher's historical version 1.3.0 gameplay screenshot with non-Mac window chrome, not a capture of this Mac release. It illustrates the Emerald Mine-style playfield, not current macOS appearance.
