What is Simple Sudoku?
Simple Sudoku creates puzzles and helps you work through them with candidate tracking, number filters and color markers. Choose a difficulty from Easy to Extreme, or paste a puzzle from the clipboard. The publisher describes its generated puzzles as symmetrical, with a single solution and no need for trial-and-error solving.
The solving tools support working through a puzzle rather than only displaying its answer. Candidates update as you enter values, logical hints help when you get stuck, and multi-level undo and redo let you revisit earlier moves. You can save an unfinished game or print a blank, partially completed or finished grid.
This is a legacy Windows application: the publisher lists version 4.2n, last updated on 9 April 2007, and names Windows 9x, 2000 and XP. Compatibility with Windows 10 and 11 has not been established here. The free license is restricted to private use, and the developer says further changes are unlikely.
