What is Simutrans?
Simutrans is a transport-management game about connecting places that need to exchange passengers, mail and goods. Build road, rail, ship and air services between cities, industries and attractions, then arrange a network that takes each load to its intended destination. Passengers and freight do not travel to arbitrary stops: the publisher describes individual passenger destinations and supply contracts between factories.
Paksets change more than the artwork. They provide different objects, purchase prices, maintenance costs and themes, so your choice affects both the appearance and the economics of the game. Customisable maps let you shape terrain and build factory chains. Multiplayer supports online and LAN games, with competition or cooperation on a shared map.
The linked ZIP is the publisher project's Simutrans 125.0 package named simumac-x86_64-signed-125-0.zip, intended for Intel Macs. The publisher says these engine packages require a separately downloaded pakset. The project also lists an ARM package, but this download is not that build; minimum macOS requirements and Apple Silicon compatibility for this Intel archive have not been established here.
