What is Taisei?
Taisei is a top-down, vertically scrolling bullet-hell shooter set in the world of Touhou Project. It tells its own story with original music, art and gameplay rather than recreating a particular Touhou installment. Play centers on recognizing projectile patterns, finding a route through them and improving through repeated attempts.
Six stages and four difficulty levels give you different patterns to learn. Three playable characters offer different shots, while focus movement helps with precise dodging. Bombs can clear bullets, and the Power Surge mechanic connects bullet cancellation with scoring. Spell Practice lets you revisit spell cards you have already encountered. Keyboard controls are remappable, and gamepad controls are supported.
