What is 10x Editor?

10x Editor is a Windows code editor aimed at developers working with large C++ projects. It can open a Visual Studio project, use a folder as a workspace or create a custom 10x workspace. Its built-in C++ parser supplies autocomplete, goto-definition, find references and symbol renaming, with incremental parsing as code changes.

The practical focus is finding and editing code without assembling a separate C++ parser setup. Workspace search helps locate text across a project, while configurable colors, fonts and panel layouts let you arrange the editing surface. Python scripts can extend editor functionality. These are publisher-documented capabilities, not independently measured performance results.

The publisher offers a 30-day free trial, not permanently free use. Continued use requires a paid license. Personal licenses must be bought with personal funds and qualify for continued use of an eligible version after 12 months; businesses must use per-seat business licenses. Windows is the currently supported platform. The download here is the publisher-linked EXE installer; its response was checked using HEAD only, without downloading or running the application.
