What is Abyss Web Server X1?
Abyss Web Server X1 runs a personal web server on macOS. It suits a single website, a small intranet or web development where you want to configure the server through a browser rather than manage every setting in text files. Its multilingual web console can be accessed locally or from another computer on your network.
The free X1 edition supports HTTP/2, TLS connections and automated certificate provisioning and renewal through ACME, including Let's Encrypt. CGI and FastCGI support connect the server to scripting environments, while URL rewriting, custom error pages, password protection and IP-based access controls provide ways to configure how a site is served.
Choose X1 for one host. Aprelium's edition comparison reserves virtual hosting and multiple hosts for the paid X2 edition; per-file and per-directory bandwidth rules are also X2 features. The Mac package contains Universal 2 executables for Intel and Apple Silicon. The publisher screenshot illustrates the older 2.16 interface, not the listed 2.16.22 release.
