What is Alfred?
Alfred is a keyboard-driven launcher for macOS. Open its search box, type an app name or a file query, and choose a result without switching to Finder. Web-search keywords, a calculator and dictionary lookups put common tasks in the same interface. Alfred adjusts the order of results as it learns how you use your Mac.
The free core covers app launching and search. A separate Powerpack license unlocks workflows, clipboard history, snippet expansion and other advanced tools. Workflows connect hotkeys, keywords and actions to automate repeated tasks; you can create your own or import community workflows. Those paid features are not included simply by downloading the free app.
