What is AntConc?
AntConc is a desktop corpus-analysis toolkit for linguistics research, teaching and language learning. Load a corpus to examine how words are used across texts rather than relying on isolated word counts. Its KWIC view aligns search hits with their surrounding text, while File View opens the fuller source context.
For broader patterns, use frequency lists, collocates, clusters and n-grams. The Plot tool shows where a query occurs within documents, and the Keyword tool compares a target corpus with a reference corpus to identify distinctive vocabulary. The publisher's guide also documents word clouds and linked image, audio and video context for multimodal corpora.
The linked 4.4.2 package is specifically for Apple Silicon Macs, not an identified Intel build.
