What is Aptakube?
Aptakube brings Kubernetes cluster inspection and everyday resource management into a desktop application. It can show multiple clusters and namespaces together, so you can follow a workload from its deployment to its pods without repeatedly switching contexts. Resource lists expose status, restarts and usage, while detail views connect related objects and provide access to events and YAML.
For troubleshooting, the aggregated log viewer combines logs from multiple pods or containers with filtering and export. You can compare resources across clusters, edit YAML, open a container shell or forward a port from the same application. Pod and node metrics work with metrics-server or Prometheus.
The linked package is the Windows x64 MSI for version 1.22.1. Free use includes all features on clusters with up to five nodes; larger clusters require a paid subscription after the 15-day trial. The publisher screenshot illustrates the shared application interface on macOS, not a Windows installation or an independently tested build.
What it offers
- Browse resources across multiple Kubernetes clusters and namespaces in one application.
- Read pod status, restart reasons, related resources, events and YAML.
- Combine live and historical logs from multiple pods or containers, with filtering and export.
- Compare resources across clusters, edit YAML and use quick actions for scaling or restarting workloads.
- Open container shells, forward ports and view pod or node metrics through metrics-server or Prometheus.
Good to know
- Free use is limited to clusters with up to five nodes; larger clusters require a Personal or Team subscription after the 15-day trial.
- Pod and node metrics depend on metrics-server or Prometheus being available.
