What is Arachnophilia?
Arachnophilia is a web-page and general programming editor for working directly with source files. It combines syntax coloring with HTML/XHTML formatting, regular-expression search and replace, and tools that turn plain-text tables and lists into markup. It suits users who want to edit the code behind a page and automate repeated editing tasks.
Its menus and toolbars are driven by editable macros. You can change a button's command or keyboard mapping, create your own menu structures, and save those changes between sessions. The publisher also documents a built-in FTP service that uploads changed files and an option to export syntax-colored source as an HTML listing.
The Windows EXE installs the Java application; it does not remove the need to install Java separately. The publisher lists version 5.5, build 2953, dated October 29, 2020. Compatibility with a particular current Windows and Java combination has not been tested for this entry. The gallery image is an older Arachnophilia 5.1 interface, not a screenshot of the listed build.
