What is AxMath?

AxMath is a visual equation editor for preparing mathematical notation in academic papers, teaching materials and other documents. Build formulas with symbol palettes, keyboard shortcuts or script input, and use its scientific calculation tools alongside equation layout. LaTeX conversion provides a route between visual editing and text-based mathematical notation.

For document work, AxMath objects can be embedded in Word and WPS. The publisher also lists handwriting recognition, screenshot OCR, custom symbols and formula libraries. The screenshot shows the equation editor and a Word document with the AxMath ribbon and numbered equations. These are publisher-described capabilities, not results from an installation or compatibility test.

The linked download is the English Windows setup ZIP from the publisher-linked GitHub release catalog, not a standalone EXE link. AxMath is offered as a trial with a paid license; the accessible publisher page does not specify the trial duration or feature restrictions. Do not treat the catalog’s “Free” label as evidence of an unrestricted free license.
