What is BlueBird Connector?
BlueBird Connector links a Windows computer to supported BirdBrain robots. It translates HTTP commands from programming environments into robot commands, providing the connection layer for Finch 2 and Hummingbird Bit projects in Snap!, Python and Java. It is a companion to your programming tools, not a replacement for an editor or language library.
The connector finds nearby robots so you can select the device that matches the initials shown on your hardware. Connected robots appear in a separate section with a battery indicator. For offline Python work, BirdBrain instructs users to install Python and the BirdBrain Python library separately, then leave BlueBird Connector running in the background throughout the session.
You need compatible robot hardware and a Bluetooth-capable computer. The download here is the Windows MSI linked in BirdBrain’s software catalog. That catalog does not state the MSI’s version or processor architecture; Softonic’s listed version 3.0 is not confirmation of the package version.
