What is CCProxy?
CCProxy turns a Windows computer into a proxy server for other computers on a network. It is useful when you want to direct configured clients through one connection and decide which clients may use the proxy. Its Account Manager supports IP-address-based access, while the Monitor window shows connection information.
Setup involves both sides of the connection: configure the server, define permitted clients, then enter the server IP address and corresponding proxy port in each client’s settings. The publisher also documents an NT service option for keeping the proxy running when its desktop interface is closed. If the server IP changes, client proxy settings need to change too.
The free edition is for personal and family users only and permits at most three users; it has no stated time or feature limit. Commercial use or a larger user allowance requires a paid license. The publisher download catalog lists version 8.0 dated September 14, 2018 and Windows 10 plus older Windows releases. Windows 11 support is not established by that publisher catalog. This entry does not claim that the installer has been run or that current Windows compatibility has been tested.
What it offers
- Share an internet connection with clients configured to use the Windows proxy server.
- Use Account Manager to permit clients by IP address or IP address range.
- Run in the background using the documented NT service option.
- Inspect client connection information through Monitor.
Good to know
- The free edition permits at most three users and is only for personal or family use; companies and commercial users need a paid license.
- Client proxy settings must match the server IP address and port; changing the server IP requires updating clients.
- The publisher catalog lists an older 8.0 release and does not establish Windows 11 support. No installation or compatibility testing was performed.
