What is CmapTools?
CmapTools turns ideas and their relationships into concept maps. It is useful for outlining a subject, organizing research or explaining how parts of a project fit together. Maps can link to other maps and supporting resources, letting you build a connected knowledge model rather than a single isolated diagram.
You can create maps on your own computer, share them through CmapServers and edit a map synchronously with other users over the Internet. Server-hosted maps can also be presented as web pages. This entry links to the Apple Silicon DMG; IHMC lists a separate Intel Mac package.
The publisher lists macOS 11 or later for the current desktop packages and includes a Java 21 runtime. WordNet integration was removed in the version 7 release line, so older documentation describing that service does not describe the current feature set. The screenshot shows an older Mac interface with Italian navigation labels, not a verified view of version 7.01.00.
