What is CodeNomad?
CodeNomad gives OpenCode a graphical workspace for managing AI-assisted coding across multiple projects. Project tabs, nested sessions and conversation timelines help you return to earlier work without treating every task as a separate terminal conversation. You can attach files, inspect tool output and review Git changes alongside the conversation.
The selected download is the Windows x64 Tauri installer for version 1.0.1. The publisher lists Windows 10 or later and WebView2 for this build. Desktop releases bundle Node.js/npm resources, but you still need a compatible OpenCode CLI: select an existing executable or use the installation option during first-launch setup. The publisher lists OpenCode 2.1.2 as the minimum and recommends 2.2.1.
Install Git where the CodeNomad backend can find it if you need repository and worktree tools. Without Git, directory-only conversations remain available, but repository operations and worktree management do not. A separate Electron ZIP is also offered by the publisher; this entry links to the Tauri installer, which supports in-app updates. The screenshot is the publisher's 0.20 demonstration interface, not a test capture of version 1.0.1.
What it offers
- Keep multiple projects open with project tabs, drafts and restored window layouts.
- Browse nested sessions, fork conversations and navigate long histories with a timeline and search.
- Create and select Git worktrees and review repository changes inside the workspace when Git is available.
- Attach files and display Markdown, code, diffs and tool-result images in conversations.
- Manage OpenCode executable and shared-service settings through the desktop interface.
Good to know
- Requires a compatible OpenCode V2 CLI; the publisher lists 2.1.2 minimum and recommends 2.2.1. OpenCode V1 is not supported.
- Git is not bundled. Repository operations and worktree management require Git in the backend account's PATH; Git installed only inside WSL does not meet a Windows backend's requirement.
- The selected Tauri installer is x64 for Windows 10 or later and uses WebView2; it is not an x86 or ARM64 package.
